I cannot believe the amount of restraint that man has. I’m watching the debate as I type. If I was in his place I would be looking over at Palin, jaw dropped open, yelling “what the FUCK are you talking about?!” But no, Biden, somehow, God bless that somehow, restrained himself to a loving, “isn’t she cute talking all silly over there?”, smile.
Amazing. I’d vote for the Obama/Biden ticket off of that alone.
So I haven’t really been posted anything on here. Oh ya, that’s because no one reads this, but what the hell, guess I’ll throw a little update out anyway.
So it’s senior year, kinda. I think I’m going to be going a semester over, but not too bad considering how sick I got sophomore year. Then it’s grad school. Princeton is still my #1 pick, if I get in. Otherwise there’s one in the Bay area which would be neat and also one up in Portland that I’ve had my eye on. Got a bit of time still to put that off, but I’ll probably start applying in a year.
So I’m working on putting together a collection of my poetry. Haven’t really started on this yet, besides just the crapload of poems I’ve written. Title: Ground Warm, Dolphin Sky. Cano said he’ll do some illustrations for me, so could turn out pretty cool.
Also working on a traditional RPG with Dylan. Got the core concept worked out, writing the story in prose atm, and attempting to learn how to program so we can implement it. Cano’s got some sweet concept art mocked up for the main male protagonist (I haven’t settled on names yet). Once stuff is a bit more solid I may share some of it on here. I’m really excited about this. If it comes together like it is in my head it’ll be great. Aiming to distribute on XBLA, but we’ll have to see. There’s a contest every year to develop a game for XBLA and I’m hoping to enter next year (it’s in September).
Finally el Jefe was just talking about putting together a lil’ EP up at ‘Xpression with him. About six songs worth of uke music (or whatever, I think). I’ve got two songs ready to record atm with three more about halfway and a handful in the initial step area. Should be real fun. Probably, if we do it, it’ll be around / before Christmas so I may have some CDs to share come the holidays. You’ll have to bear with my vocals, apologies in advance.
That’s about it I think. School’s great, last two hanger on GE courses that I for some reason forgot to take and pretty much straight CPRL after that. Oh until the my last semester which’ll be pure electives. Which is ridiculous and kinda stupid, but whatever, that’s the rules.
I almost feel like not asking this, since I’m like 100% sure that I won’t get an answer, but how’s everyone doing?
Well after my couple month experiment on Firefox I’m back on Safari once more. The now horrible flash support (wtf happened?) and poor load times and just all around typical clunky Firefox behavior finally got to me. Chrome would be fun to try out but no Mac client as of yet. So back to Safari it is.

Finally switched over today to Adium from Proteus. Tried to import my chat histories but kinda failed so I now have a bunch of .html files with all my old Proteus chats. Not perfect, but it’ll work for nostalgia.
Anyway, Adium has fixed all the quips I had with Proteus: you can hover and read long away messages without having to continually move the mouse off the contact and back on cause it faded out, chat icon stays at the adjusted setting, not something else, jabber actually works (sorry if anyone has been trying to talk to me on there I haven’t been receiving the messages in awhile), and a couple more things. All in all I should have made the switch months okay.
